Going National?

without comments

So, you wanna go National?

That’s great. This is the perfect time, particularly for those who have participated in Dynamic Dragon Boat Festivals, to desire such a goal.

This might be something you never thought about previously and you’re wondering, “What?”

Well, it is the time to think about this idea. Dynamic Events & Management LLC is the host organizer of U.S. National Dragon Boat Racing Championships in 2010 in Chattanooga, TN. A great city will be host to a wonderfully competitive event.

This is a prime opportunity to go National in the sport of dragon boat racing.

Why think about this now?

~       If you have a competitive nature and would like the opportunity to compete on a National level, now is the time to act.

~       Nationals will be a different game than local dragon boat festival competitions. Crews competing practice three to five times a week, and race on a regular basis. They are very good.

~       If you wait too long, your team will not be ready to compete on a National level. Most of the other teams that compete at this level have been practicing for years.

~       This event is the precursor to Worlds – to be held in the U.S. – in Tampa in 2011.

It’s a good idea, a great sport and credible goal to achieve. It might be the ultimate chance, and if much more time elapses, it’s too late. Fine tuning a Nationals ready team takes time. All 20 paddlers will need to perfect the technique, and then get in sync, and also compete at various races. It requires some time, dedication and finances. Many other teams do it, so it’s possible. There’s even a cancer survivor division at Nationals.

Locally, an all-female team in Knoxville is already forming to compete at Nationals in 2010. Contact Esther Wallace at digit@mymailstation.com for details.

Get on the Nationals boat. The next few U.S. Dragon Boat Racing National Championships (which are held every two years) are expected to be in the Midwest or on the West coast. We have it here now, take advantage.
